Sweet Tooth: Green Tea Kit Kat

Free treat! Got this baby from my boss who just got back from a trip in Japan.

A lover of green tea anything, this was no exception. Lotsa matcha flavor, same kit kat crunch with vanilla wafers. If only they sold this in the states.....

Pies 'N' Thighs: Where Diets Come to Die

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Kim came to visit to pig out on the food here me. After a night of necessary excessive drinking, and bad dancing, we decided to recover by stuffing our faces with calorie laden southern cooking. Conveniently located 2 blocks from my apartment building, we headed over to Pies 'n' Thighs.

 Awkward morning after brunch date.
Possible conversation topics: their dinner from the night before, why bunnies are so fucking cute.

Hipsters behind the cash register, half alive to serve you deep fried goodness. Don't forget to check out the counter for cookies, scones, and the doughnuts of the day.

They all have their own opinions on their friend salt, who was absent at the condiment party

Eggs any style with Cheese Grits and a Biscuit
Kim got this, I only tried pieces of the biscuit, and I have to say....it was cold and tough to eat. Most likely over baked in the oven, but a buttery biscuit nonetheless.
Price: $10.00

 Apple Cinnamon Pancakes
Cinnamon butter! Wa-hoo! The Pancake was good enough, with bits of apple in every bite. Though there might have been too much apple since it fell apart so easily. The apples were also kind of bland and flavorless.
Price: $8.00
 Huevos Rancheros
I got this, topped with a sunnyside up egg, grits, and salsa verde. It was hardy, but unnecessarily oily. And only 4 shrimp?!
Price: $8.00 + 1.00 for an egg
 Chocolate Pudding Pie
Thick, dense and overly sweet. Chocolate coma and 50 pound weight gain for sure.
Price: $4.50
Grapefruit Custard Pie
This was the lighter option. Also not overly sweet, but with the touch of honey, it was perfection.
Price: $4.50

Verdict: Seriously great pies, and will definitely be back to try their fried chicken.
